Battle of The Legends:
Battle of the Legends was the first game I made. This game is about the journey of the infamous Dragon Ball Z character Krillin to rescue other heroes who have been trapped by the corresponding villains. I created this game at the College of Marin Game Development 1 Course, and was my first official game, that I am still proud to have made to this day. During the development of this game, I got help from others in the class which I am grateful for.

Game Design Spring 2017 Class !!!
The story starts off with Krillin living his normal life, coming home to his house broken down and a spaceship-like vehicle. He later finds out that the vehicle is the helicarrier and he has to rescue game icons from different dimensions. The game is split into three levels each with different obstacles and characters to save. Each level follows a theme that it's design and appearance match, and as you move throught them, they progressively get harder. After completing the game, all of the game icons are brought back to their original dimensions and Krillin lives happily ever after. Or does he? That's what you'll have to find out.
This project was fun. Through all of the struggle and discovery, I enjoyed it greatly. This project help me find my persistence and passion and at the same time brought me friends who were also interested in Game Design and made me finally complete a game. Solomon Smith, the assistant, was a great help during this project, helping me on the many bugs that I across. I had a partner helping me on this, but he quit during the middle of the course and I was forced to continue on my own. I do respect his contribution to this project because he worked on the respawn script and some of the main story, and I acknowledge him for that. Regardless, this sudden loss of a second person made the game much harder to make. However, I kept on going. During this project, I really rediscovered one of my best qualities, my persistence. For example, at my first meeting, the teacher told me that this is a very hard class and you're going to have to spend 5 hours a week. This scared me because I didn't think I could spend that much time every week. But as we got closer to the end, I started automatically putting that much time in the game because of my passion and interest in the class. This class also made me meet and make a lot of new friends. For example, Nathaniel Grgunia is a very talented artist and designer that I met during this project who made the drawings in the portfolio above. Ryan was another coder who helped me with bugs and problems I had with my project. And Steve helped with the tech issues. These people that I met during this class really gave free help for me and made my project 10 times better than it was before. Lastly, it gave me a big sense of accomplishment. I used to come out with dozens of game ideas and work on them for one day and then give them up the next day, but now I feel happy because I finally put the work in to create a game and finally FINISHED it. I can really tell from this project that I am more of a leader because I learned how to manage and identify the problems in my project and delegate specific tasks to others, which is exactly what a leader does. Concluding this project, I would like to thank everyone who helped on this project and I know that although this project wasn't the best, it was the first step to my career. But step by step, I will become better and better and soon become a successful game designer.
Now that you know the work put in to create this project, I would like to present Battle of The Legends.
NOTE TO EVERYONE PLAYING THIS GAME!!! People were asking me questions about this, so I wanted to clear all of it up. I worked in all of the areas I credited others for. I worked on most of the code (MoveScript, EnemyScript, etc), most of the art (created the Krillin, Both Enemies, Megaman, Mario, Goku, etc) and a fair amount of the level design. I also created the splash screen and icon and created and uploaded the trailer. The people who made contributions made small ones in their area to help me out. I just wanted to clear this all up because people thought that I did not contribute much to this project and since the build is already up, I can't change the credits screen anymore. Now that I got my word out, I hope that you enjoy this game!!!
